Prince Arthur Announces Ambitious New Chelsea Chapter — Opening September 2026
Following the success of Prince Arthur in Belgravia, the independent hospitality brand is entering an ambitious new chapter with the opening of Prince Arthur Chelsea at 96 Draycott Avenue, London SW3 3AD.
Located between South Kensington and Chelsea, the new address places Prince Arthur within one of London’s most established dining and cultural neighbourhoods. The move provides the enhanced kitchen facilities, space and operational resources required to elevate the restaurant’s food offering and realise the team’s broader creative ambitions.
The new venue will be arranged across two distinct floors. The ground floor will be home to an ambitious, chef-led restaurant, while upstairs, guests will discover Chelsea Music Bar, a late-night music and cocktail lounge licensed until 1.30am. Inspired by Tokyo’s late-night listening bars, Chelsea Music Bar will combine a vinyl-led music programme, carefully curated live performances and a high-end cocktail offering. The space will provide an intimate setting where guests can continue their evening after dinner, listen to music and stay late into the night. Although the Chelsea venue will move away from the pub format associated with Prince Arthur in Belgravia, the upstairs bar will retain the conviviality, energy and character at the heart of the brand, reimagined for its new Chelsea home.
Returning Head Chef Adam Iglesias will lead the kitchen and oversee the next evolution of Prince Arthur’s culinary identity. Iglesias originally led the food offering at Prince Arthur in Belgravia, helping the restaurant achieve recognition in the Michelin Guide for two consecutive years. At Prince Arthur Chelsea, the team intends to build on that foundation and pursue an even higher level of culinary excellence. The new menu will be seasonal and ingredient-led, combining live-fire cooking with Basque techniques and placing exceptional produce, seafood and carefully sourced ingredients at its heart.
The purpose-designed kitchen will be centred around a bespoke, high-capacity charcoal grill, allowing Iglesias and his team to develop the restaurant’s live-fire cooking at a significantly higher level.
At the Belgravia premises, issues relating to the way the extraction system had been installed meant the kitchen was no longer able to continue cooking over live charcoal in the way the concept required. As Prince Arthur’s food philosophy is rooted in cooking fresh ingredients over live fire, the new Chelsea kitchen will allow the team to return fully to this approach with the infrastructure and resources needed to support it.
The Chelsea restaurant will feature fresh seafood served from the counter, caviar produced in-house, and both meat and fish dry-aged on site. Alongside the new dishes, a number of Prince Arthur signatures will remain firmly on the menu, including its in-house Caviar, Sea Urchins, Txuleta, Carabineros and Lobster Rice, preserving some of the dishes that became synonymous with the restaurant in Belgravia.
The food will be supported by an extensive wine programme championing outstanding European producers, with a particular focus on Spain and France alongside an expanded premium selection. At Prince Arthur Chelsea, this will develop into an even more extensive wine list, while the drinks offering will also retain Prince Arthur’s signature Guinness, poured through the same specialist lines and system associated with pubs in Ireland.
The Chelsea menu will bring together returning guest favourites with a new collection of seasonal dishes inspired by the Basque region and shaped by charcoal and live-fire cooking. The improved kitchen, enhanced facilities and greater operational resources will allow Iglesias and his team to broaden the scope of the menu, refine its execution and deliver the more ambitious restaurant experience they have long wanted to create.
While the restaurant evolves, its core philosophy will remain unchanged: exceptional food, genuine hospitality and creating a personal, memorable experience for every guest. Prince Arthur Chelsea will carry forward the warmth, character and personal approach to service for which the restaurant became known in Belgravia.
Artur Voloshin, Founder of Prince Arthur, said:
“Prince Arthur’s restaurant chapter at 11 Pimlico Road has been an incredibly important part of our journey. We are immensely proud of what the team created in Belgravia and grateful to every guest, neighbour, supplier and member of staff who supported us there.
The move to Chelsea gives us the kitchen, space and resources we need to take the food to the next level and deliver the restaurant experience we have always wanted to create. Our philosophy has always been centred around cooking fresh, carefully sourced ingredients over live fire. Due to limitations with the extraction installation at the Belgravia site, we were no longer able to cook over live charcoal in the way the concept required. The new kitchen will allow us to return fully to that style of cooking and develop it much further.
Adam played a defining role in establishing Prince Arthur’s culinary identity and helping us achieve Michelin Guide recognition for two consecutive years. His return gives us the opportunity to build on
Downstairs, the restaurant will have a clear and ambitious culinary direction. Upstairs, Chelsea Music Bar will bring an entirely new dimension to Prince Arthur, combining vinyl, live music and exceptional cocktails in a late-night setting.
We are not simply moving the restaurant; we are creating a new home that allows Prince Arthur to realise its full potential.”
Prince Arthur developed a loyal following in Belgravia through its distinctive hospitality, Basque-influenced cooking and independent spirit, welcoming guests from across London and beyond.
Prince Arthur Chelsea will build upon that foundation while presenting a more expansive expression of the brand: a serious, ingredient-led restaurant downstairs and a distinctive late-night music and cocktail destination upstairs.
A new and exciting chapter is about to begin. Restaurant operations at 11 Pimlico Road have now concluded as the team turns its full attention to the opening of Prince Arthur Chelsea. The Belgravia building will now undergo an extensive programme of renovation and redevelopment, with further details of its next chapter to be announced in due course.
Reservations will open shortly, with further announcements regarding the opening date, full menu and music programme to follow across Prince Arthur’s digital channels.
